Warranty Renewal Terms And Conditions
AIR CONDITIONER WARRANTY TERMS & CONDITIONS
  1. For window-type and split type air-conditioner under normal use, the maintenance scheme covers free repair service and replacement of functional parts, except base pan, evaporating coils, condensing coil, front panel, switch knobs, cabinet, compressor, remote controller, accessories and supporting brackets of motor which will be separately charged. Any defective part which has been replaced free of charge shall become the property of the Company.
  2. For package, FS Multi VRF System or FSV VRF System air-conditioner, repair service will be free, but replacement of spare parts will be charged at 20% discount.
  3. 10% discount off standard price will be offered for air-conditioner cleansing service within the maintenance period.
  4. The maintenance scheme does not cover cleansing of the coils and water tower, clearing of the clogged drainpipe, refrigerant leak finding, clearing of refrigerant pipes or reinstallation. Should such work be required, separate charge will be levied.
  5. The maintenance scheme does not cover refrigerant refilling (Note 1) for packaged,
    FS Multi VRF System or FSV VRF System air-conditioners.
  6. The Maintenance fee shall be paid before the start of the maintenance period as stated on the maintenance certificate. Otherwise an additional inspection fee will be levied.
  7. Maintenance fee paid is non-refundable or non-transferable under any circumstances.
  8. This maintenance certificate will be void if :
    1. The air-conditioner has been explicitly or implicitly modified, tempered with, altered or repaired in any way by persons other than technicians of Shun Hing Electric Service Centre Ltd. (the company).
    2. The air-conditioner has been damaged through misuse, negligence,
      power interruption or abnormal voltage input, accident, natural calamities, or due to ingress of insects, foreign matters or liquid, corrosion or external factors.
    3. The Company is not promptly informed of change of address or ownership of the said air-conditioner.
    4. The said air-conditioner is moved to outlying islands, remote area or restricted area.
    5. The said air-conditioner is not a fixed installation on land.
  9. Travelling surcharge will be levied to customers located at Hong Kong outlying islands, remote area or restricted area. In case workshop service is needed, customer is responsible to deliver the product to our Customer Service Center or any place in urban area, and to pick up the repaired product from the same location.
  10. If workshop service is needed and building without lift or lift that cannot reach the delivery address, staircase fee will be charged.
  11. Normal maintenance service shall be provided within office hours i.e. 9:00am - 6:00pm from Monday to Friday and 9:00am - 12:00 noon on Saturday. No service will be provided on Sundays and Public Holidays except in the case of emergency and at extra charge. For safety reason, service may be suspended without prior notice in time of typhoon or rain storm.
  12. User is responsible for removing/reinstalling any decorations hindering the service of the air-conditioner unit(s) and bear all costs incurred.
  13. For repair service of air-conditioner(s) installed 2M above floor level, user is responsible for the construction and removal of safety working platform, scaffoldings or gondola and bear all costs incurred.
  14. Shun Hing Electric Service Centre Ltd. (the Company) shall not be liable for any direct or indirect loss or damage to any person or property howsoever caused arising from any stoppage, breakdown or failure of the equipment.
  15. Nothing in this maintenance certificate confers or purports to confer on any third party any benefit or any right pursuant to the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Ordinance (Cap. 623) to enforce any term of the maintenance certificate.
  16. In the event part(s) become unavailable because production of such part(s) is discontinued by the factory or suppliers, the sole remedy allowed under this agreement is a refund of the outstanding maintenance fee on a pro-rata basis calculated on the complete months being unused with our service.

Note 1:

Refrigerant refilling is required under circumstances arising from repairing any leakage of the
cooling system, or replacement or repair of any parts of the cooling system (such as compressor, coils, strainer or tube etc.) and in any case of such, the original refrigerant inside the system must be evacuated and the system be refilled with new refrigerant in order to ensure normal operating performance of the air-conditioner.
